CrystalDiffract provides very-high quality vector graphics (PDF and EPS on the Mac) which can be copied to the clipboard or exported to a graphics file.

Other, pixel-based graphics formats are available when exporting graphics to file, including TIFF, PNG and JPEG - each with a choice of output magnifications. Some formats (PDF, EPS, PNG and TIFF) allow for transparency, so you can choose whether to export graphics with transparent or opaque (white) backgrounds.
