Data Center Audit installation for Windows

 

1. Clicking on the dca_setup.exe

 

 

2. Will launch the dca Installer.

 

3. Clicking Next will display the License agreement

 

4. Clicking Next will display the information and acknowledgements page

 

5. This next page displays the directory where dca should be installed. It is recommended you leave the default unless you changed the drive letter where WAMP is installed (i.e. d:\wamp, e:\wamp , etc..). It is also important that you leave dca in its own directory. For example: c:\wamp\www\dca

 

6. Next you will see the name of the program to be displayed on your Start menu.

It is recommended you leave the default.

 

7. Next you are prompted whether or not to create a desktop shortcut icon. This is completely up to you.

 

8. Next you are shown the installation confirmation page.

 

9. Clicking INSTALL will begin the installation of dca

 

10. Finally you should see the installation success page.

 

11. Clicking FINISH will display the following dca Installation and Setup page

At this screen, be sure to:

  • For most users, leave the default of "localhost"
    • If you choose NOT to accept the default of localhost, include the web server domain name.

      DO NOT place "http" or any slashes in the name. Only place the server name.

      For example:
      If your website URL is http://www.foobar.com, then place 'foobar.com' in this field.

  • Leave the default or you may enter the title of your lab in the Lab Title field.

  • If you have an SSL web site (i.e. https prefix), then select https

  • Leave the default or enter the name of the database you wish to create.

  • Select whether or not to create the database and tables
    *note: when re-running the setup for re-installation, if you already have the database created you may leave these fields unchecked.

  • Enter the user name and password of the user allowed to create the database

  • Select the graphical theme you wish to use.



When setup is complete you should see the following screen


This screen indicates that the dca_config.php and dca_db.php files have been built.

The config file contains all required configuration information for the product, and the db.php file contains mySQL database login information.
