Making And Printing A Layout

In this tutorial we will learn how to make and print a layout. First you need to open an image, if you are unsure how to open an image then please read the tutorial Beginning with the Browser. Once we have our image open we can begin.

  1. Click on the "Print & Layouts" button on the toolbar to be taken to the Print & Layouts Interface.

  3. It can take a few wee moments, but the Interface will then slide to resemble the below screenshot.

  5. If your page is portrait and you want it to be landscape click the "Page Setup..." toolbar button and change the orientation in the Page Setup dialog. If you only want to print one page, then click "Print". Otherwise, clicking on any other layout in the layout selector at the bottom results in blank space, need some more images.

  7. In the bottom left of the window, there are two buttons. One has a '+' plus symbol on it and t'other has a '-' minus symbol on it. Click on the '+' button, the interface will change again, this time it shows the browser. Select the other pictures in the browser and then click on the "Print & Layouts" button in the toolbar to return back to the Print & Layouts Interface. The Interface should look something like below.

  9. Play around with the different layouts until you find a layout that you like. If needs be the order of the pictures can be changed by simply clicking on them and moving them from one box to another. If a picture doesn't quite line up, click on it once and then use the arrow keys to nudge it. Once you got the layout you want and arranged the photos how you want, click on "Print" to print or click on "Export..." to save the layout as an image.
