Downloading Files
Downloading files is a simple process in Hedera.
To download a file:
- Select an item in the Search Results list and click the Download toolbar item, or double-click the search result entry, to begin downloading it. Your download will appear in the Downloads pane (accessible by clicking the down-arrow in the segmented control located in the toolbar).
- To pause, cancel, or resume a download, click the corresponding icon in the toolbar. Paused downloads can be resumed immediately, but downloads that have actually been canceled must be restarted manually.
- To find more sources, right-click or control-click an item in the downloads list view and choose "Find More Sources." This is useful when your present sources are not fast or numerous enough to facilitate a pleasant download experience. No guarantee is made that more sources will be found, but there's a distinct possibility.
- To actually cancel a particular source without cancelling its corresponding download, expand the download listing (by clicking the disclosure triangle) and select the source, then either click the "Cancel Source" item in the toolbar or press the Delete key.
- To preview a downloaded file, click the "Preview" item in the toolbar while a download is selected in the downloads list view. If it is an audio file, it will open in QuickTime Player.app.
- To expand or collapse all source listings in the downloads pane, click the corresponding button in the toolbar.
- To remove cancelled and completed downloads from the downloads list, click the "Clean Up" item in the toolbar. Note that this will not remove downloaded files from your computer — just the listing in the downloads view.
