PM Cal Installation

PM Cal is a web based AJAX calendar, that helps users to easily manage important events, schedules, meetings and deadlines. PM Cal be used in cases where instant AJAX based calendar is needed to manage events. PM Cal runs on Tomcat Server as a webapplication which suites it well as fastest intranet calendar.

PM Cal is a 100% JAVA/JSP/Servlets component.

A [WAR] archive is available to make PM Cal installation easier (recommended!). It needs a servlet engine SERVLETS 2.2+ API compliant or a J2EE1.2+ compliant applications server.

You will find JAR files under a WEB-INF/lib folder. The standardized deployment descriptor file (web.xml) under WEB-INF/ folder. Most of servlet engines are compliants with this structure so PM Cal installation is as easy as a copy/paste.

WAR Installation

PM Cal is also available as a WAR archive. It's a SERVLETS 2.2 standard archive for Web Applications.

1. To install PM Cal WAR archive, copy pmcal.war under the webapps folder of your servlet engine before running it.
2. Note that webapps folder depends on your servlet engine. It could be webapps/, applications/ ... The WAR file will be automatically uncompressed under pmcal/ folder.
3. Run PM Cal for the first time :
   Template : http://yourserver.com/pmcal/
4. Once launched for the first time, the pmcal/ folder will be created.
5. Restart the server and you are ready to go.
