Using the Riffer Window

The Riffer Window appears when you start playing (riffing) a movie from your library. You use it to control the playback and synchronization of the RiffTrax file and movie.
Due to the range of functions the Riffer Window serves in RiffSync, the set of controls it presents will differ depending on what function it is performing. See below for more information on each of these modes.
Main Riffer Mode
This is how the Riffer Window will appear most of the time. In this mode, a range of playback controls will be available.
Edit Sync Mode
You can use this mode to adjust the synchronization of the RiffTrax file and the movie. You get to this mode by pressing the Edit Sync button from the "Main Riffer Mode" above.
Edit Disembaudio Mode
You can use this mode to adjust the Disembaudio points for a RiffTrax. You get to this mode by pressing the Go to Advanced DEs Editor button from the "Edit Sync Mode" above.
Questions and Notifications
The Riffer Window will on occasion have something to ask you or tell you about. You will most commonly see this as part of RiffSync's ability to learn to recognize the movie that goes along with a RiffTrax file. RiffSync uses this feature to offer to play the movie for you automatically when using iTunes, or play the RiffTrax when you are watching the correct DVD track.
Manual Sync
If RiffSync is unable to get the sync information for one of your RiffTrax files any other way, it will guide you through the steps to manually set a sync. This should be rare, but if it happens, just follow the directions presented in the Riffer Window.
