Index >> Export Formats >> QuickTime (MOV) Files
Apple QuickTime files can be displayed in nearly any web browser that has the QuickTime player installed.
The QuickTime version of the export recording screen has the following options:
Mouse Options:
In the mouse options section you can select whether or not to show the mouse cursor in the final recording. You can also select whether or not to display a visual indicator for mouse clicks. The indicator appears as a circle emanating from the tip of the cursor. You may also choose the indicator color by clicking on the color well to the right.
Audio Options:
In the audio options section you can select whether or not to include audio in the final recording. If you do select "Include Audio" you may also select whether to use the audio track that was captured during the recording process or some other audio file. You may choose any QuickTime readable audio file.
Note: Using an audio track from a QuickTime video file is not currently supported.
Video Options:
In the video options screen you can select from a list of formats or codecs to use for the QuickTime movie. The two most common codecs to use are the H.264 Codec, and the Raw (None) codec. H.264 is a good blend of quality and compression, while the Raw codec is good for users who plan on post processing their video in a video editing application such as Final Cut Pro.
Some (but not all) codecs support a parameter called video quality, choices are High, Normal, and Low. Codecs that support this parameter allow you to create smaller files by trading off video quality. If the codec you have chosen doesn't support the video quality parameter, this setting has no effect on your final video.
You may also select from a list of scene transitions between your video. Scene transitions are inserted into your video every time you pause and resume recording. If you don't want scene transitions, set this option to "None".
HTML File Options:
Here you can select to have an HTML file created along with your video that you can use to host the video on your website. You may also set whether the HTML page should play the movie once, or have it loop continuously
