Yasu Overview

Originally created with System Administrators who service large groups of workstations in mind, Yasu (Yet Another System Utility) performs a specific group of maintenance tasks quickly, using only a few clicks, eliminating the need to type easily forgotten shell script commands in the Terminal application.

What Yasu Does

Yasu allows the average user, as well as system administrator, to easily run system level Unix shell script commands which perform maintenance routines and clear the many cache files used by OS X with just a few clicks of the mouse. Yasu is designed to be simple, and is a wonderful first line of attack for a workstation that has started acting up. More often than not, a thorough purge of the cache files with a system restart will bring a Mac's behavior back in line.

What Yasu Does Not Do

Yasu is NOT a solution for total system maintenance, nor is it a replacement for the Unix 'cron' or 'launchd' daemons. While Yasu works quite well on its own for certain things, it should also be used with other utilities, such as DiskWarrior or TechTool Pro, in order to keep your system in optimal health.
